Improving the healthy social and emotional development of students has shown measurable improvement that exceed its costs. For every dollar spent investing in these programs, there is an $11.00 return.

Why donate to Developmental Connections?
There are so many afflictions affecting children, so why are we focusing our time and resources on developmental delays?
In non-philanthropic terms, Developmental Connections is a good “investment.” More specifically, children diagnosed with developmental disabilities can be helped, but so often these children are not receiving the critical, time-sensitive interventions that make a difference – for the child, for their family, for society as a whole.
Here are some of the compelling trends regarding developmental delays:
- 1 in 6 children experience developmental delays in the United States.
- Intensive, early intervention works. "Research has shown that early intervention improves a child's long-term academic and behavioral outcomes,” according to Science Daily.
- Most families don’t have the resources to do what is required. While some federally mandated services exist, they are a small fraction of what a child needs to potentially catch up to their peers and live a productive, independent life. The time and money required is typically well beyond the means of most families.
We are so excited to come together and dedicate our time and resources to support these children and we hope you will do the same.
